Mexicans do live in a two-class society. There are whites, and natives/mixed -race mexicans. In all advertisements you will only see white Mexicans. Brownies seemed to have accepted that fate though, and every Mexican would rather identify with their Aztec/Olmec heritage (even if they have none) than admit his ancestry is Spanish. Pretty fascinating country. I don't understand why US-citizens care about Mexican immigrants. Or why Mexicans even want to emmigrate nowadays.
