Quite safe mainly because I only have 3 neighbors for miles. Super close knit farming community in a sense. I enjoy where and how I live.

I've been to Copenhagen many times, and it doesn't feel all that safe. The area around the train station is basically like the middle east, and when I went out drinking, there were huge gangs of young immigrants roaming the streets and causing trouble.
But the other parts of Denmark that I've visited have felt safe and relatively idyllic. Though it's been a few years since I've been outside Copenhagen, aside from the viking museum in Roskilde. I'm assuming things have changed since the 90s.

With dogs, a family, good internet (and knowing how to use it) and a love for fishing, walking, mountain biking and running etc the countryside is amazing. In the UK there are normally small towns near the tiny villages you can walk too with a few 6packs get watsed on the way, do a pub crawl with everyone and walk back again. I guess I'm lucky to live where I live. I live in Norway's second largest city, but it's a port city surrounded by mountains. I can literally walk out my backdoor and go hiking, as my backyard is essentially a mountain.

Also, the train tracks run are close to my house so the cops here make it a big deal to keep crime within the people that look for it. In other words, Joe schmoe won't get shot so it's safe as long as you don't go looking for trouble.
