It's for the same reason that illegals come from the south to America. They're looking for a "better life" in the west.
Which is them redoing what made their countries such hellholes but doing it with a clean slate and a clean country to destroy. It's more than just getting away from war.
It baffles me in every way, and many people as well do believe that the refugees are cowards at the very least considering they abandon their families and desert the military.
They have no duty or sense of honor. They will not fight for their homeland and simply do not care about it. Millions of them are leaving when they could instead be the engines of change that drive their country forward.
Not fighting tooth and nail for your countrymen and your homeland is something incomprehensible for me. So many others did despite facing a losing battle, like Rhodesia, until the very end and beyond. In the Latin Americas especially, these people could change everything about their country that made them leave in the first place, as it's not a war zone or hellhole. At least the Mexicans have been going back, as many just came here to make money for their families and build savings before returning.
The fact that there are so many Syrian deserters is disgusting enough, but there are many more who are fleeing out of non warzones to go to Europe. It really is cowardice.
