I've caught some illuminati symbolism in The Walk so far. There's a scene where JGL's character writes a black line across his own mouth, the camera angle is from "under the table". Very odd cinematography. I think it symbolizes the fact that the actor can't speak the truth.
In another scene, in America, he's performing for this wirewalker in front of a rather obvious triangle.
He also has a piece of red thread that he brings across the screen in Paris after his trip to America. It's a similar camera angle but I think it's symbolic of the blood shed in the Paris attacks.
Here's his "performance" for the "master" wire walker. The actor is just like the character, just performing to keep people in the dark, for the benefit of the master.
