>The Vatican has made an official request to be granted access to the 1500-year-old bible, however the bible that is said to be worth $28 million is currently held by the Turkish government securely. The holy words are hand written in Syriac in luminous gold lettering on loosely bound together animal hides. Syriac is a dialect of Aramaic – the reported native language of Jesus Christ. Aramaic itself is a nearly dead language, rarely present in today's modern society. Aramaic is only spoken in a small village near Damascus.

According to the Christian Post, merely photocopies of the holy book’s pages are being sold for a staggering $1.7 million. In addition to the age and impeccable construction of the bible, the contents of the holy book is what makes it so valuable. The Gospel of Barnabas is not included in the New Testament alongside Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

This work opposes the ideas proposed in the widely spread New Testament, and instead has noticeable similarities to the Muslim interpretation of Jesus. The Gospel of Barnabas even contains a story in which Jesus predicts the coming of Prophet Muhammad. Due to this fact, many followers of Islam believe the original gospel work was repressed by the Vatican Library.

This. Gnostics and heretics have been injecting their heresy into the Christian canon for literally centuries. Even the early church had to deal with these faggots, this is no new discovery, nor does it pose a threat to "modern Christianity".

I suppose I should say "attempting to inject". They were never successful.

You realize Aramaic is still spoken in Turkey right? Also Paul the Apostle(Paul of Tarsus) was from Tarsus which is a city in Turkey. If any bible were to be found it'd be very possible to find in Turkey.

yeah nah fuck off. This is just another attempt of heretics trying to insert their retarded ideas into the Church. They didn't listen then, they won't listen now, and I don't see any reason they'd be inclined to ever listen to this bullshit

Of course they won't allow anyone else to look at it. They would hardly want carbon dating performed.

You can't just pour chemicals on paper to make it look old anymore. That trick is just done. At best what they've got is from the 17th century. At worst, they've knocked it up quite recently.

Go and have a look for any mention of that particular gospel from writings post Jesus death, first and second century. Nada. Started popping up well after the rise of islam, suggested to be a forgery designed to lure christians in andalusia to the religion of their new rulers.

Yup, they don't realize that Christianity has texts that are confirmed to date back to at least 100 AD and even before then. None of these texts, and none of the religious commentary at the time from theologians ever mentioned Mohammad. All of them acknowledged Jesus as the Messiah and as the completion of Jewish prophecy. I have to give it to them though, they sure are trying to make Islam look like the continuation and completion of the Abrahamic faiths. Too bad it's literally a false religion in every way imaginary.

I don't really remember the name but drawings were like this and most had their face smudged in a way, but that's how most Muslims depict Muhammad anyway, with a veil on his face or a light erasing it. But there was this one Muhammad in his deathbed, wearing green robe and has white/grey beard and hair, also friends and family is around him. But like I said most drawings were basic and faces were same like this. Also as far as I know there are depictions of Muhammad with Ottoman miniatures and some old miniatures of other cultures.

I can't really remember much since I was about 13 or something but there are many churches with many names, I'm sure people of that area knows about it more than I do.

Ah, I see where the confusion comes in. In Orthodox churches, halos (the "veil" or light you saw) are placed around holy people, such as saints, the Apostles, Christ, etc. I really doubt you saw Mohammed in any of them (it was most likely a Saint you saw depicted), although it is certainly possible that the Ottomans added these depictions of Mohammed later on. The Ottomans were known to alter churches so as to make Christians seem more "in tune" with Islam and therefore justify tolerating them. An example, instead of tearing down the Hagia Sophia, the Ottomans instead erected minarets and covered the iconography (instead of simply destroying it).

Jesus fuck, Ottomans didn't touch them, I saw many saints depicted, Mohammad one was depicted as Mohammad afaik not a christian saint like other ones since those halos are on the back of their heads.

These churches are old as fuck and most are actually a cave so it's not in a important location like Hagia Sophia. I believe church was there, like I said many churches so idk which one. Also depiction didn't look like this, it looked more like those old Orthodox drawings with thin and long noses.

Most bible translations in use today were made before the internet.
Now with google and different websites such as biblehub and archive which has various editions of the lexicons and Greek new testaments that you can download and search for key phrases in, now's a better time than ever to undertake a revision of the bible translation to produce a more accurate rendition.
It should be done by a free but organized group that allows for user input and participation with forums like the type you find in game modding communities.

Gnostic texts are well attested, and well defended against by the Church Fathers in the early Church period.

Here are man others if you're actually interested.
http://www.earlychristianwritings.com/gnostics.html

This is nothing knew, man. Just because your sunday school teacher never explained the history of Christianity doesn't mean the Church hasn't been dealing with this shit for damn near 2000 years. It's also why apostolic teachings, and the writings of the early generations of Christians are treated as useful historical tools to sift through what was and wasn't in line with the apostles and their disciples , and their students and so on.

Read about the satanic verses. It's very illuminating in the way Muhammad dealt with the pagan beliefs that coexisted with early islam.
Nowadays the simple fact of mentioning them can cause immense butthurt among muslims.

Basically Muhammad, in order to get acceptance from pagans, stated at one point that it was okay to worship some moon goddess (iirc), and later he retracted himself and claimed that he was possessed by satan when he said that.

>>
>>56486783
Seems plausible, the simple fact that Mohamed wasn't killed for heresy shows that he was a very diplomatic person willing to make compromises for the greater good, on the other hand a lot of people would say that The Satanic Verses is basically the Islamic version of The Davinci Code

Just to add on this proving the Gospel is a fake (among MANY contradictions), it says Jubilee in the forgery that occurs every 100 years, not 50 years. This actually occurred under Boniface viii during the year 1300, but was changed back after 3050 under Clement vi back to 50. So, the text was either written by presumably a Muslim scholar between the year 1300 and 1350 or Barnabas was a fucking retard.

Not a nice thing to say about the Catholic church. I like the books of the bible that depict Jesus as a trickster god, using magic to play jokes on people..

That somehow wasn't accepted into the collective books of the bible for some reason.
