Propaganda is spread showing mass groups of refugees marching, showing all the males in front. Footage always cuts before they get to the back end of the groups where the women and children are.
Go look up any video of those long refugee lines and you will see a bunch of women and children at the ends. Maybe not for more than a second before the video cuts, but you will see it.

As for the US, I've seen no evidence whatsoever as to the demographic make-up of those Syrians they planned on sending here.
