Donald Trump is never going to take a position on white supremacy. If he's ever asked that question in debate he will do his best to avoid it, at least until the primaries are over. He knows that if he takes a position against racism he'll lose a large part of his support base, whereas if he supports racists he'll lose his moderate supporters.
If there are any questions asking whether he's a racist, he will either avoid them or give cryptic answers (like with the NBC reporter concerning Muslim databases). This is the only way he can maintain his support at this this stage in the primaries.

They've asked him about rumors that his wife used to keep hitler speeches by her bed and he denied that and denied he ever has read hitler speeches.

Although he's denied it, he still has not really taken a direct stance on Hitler's policies. The cryptic response he gave about his database plan may also have been evidence that he may be in support (albeit indirectly).

Trump isn't stupid and is aware his support base is mainly compromised of racists and poor uneducated whites. Trump has hijacked the racist vote which normally begrudgingly supports a candidate just to keep a Democrat out of office except this time they have an actual candidate hence why his poll numbers are increasing and he's sapping support from everyone else.
This is also why he can't really be stumped; his voters aren't going to stop supporting him unless he apologizes and throws his racist and uneducated voters under the bus for his own reputation, otherwise he has their uncompromising loyalty.
