I'm in Calgary. It's a lot different, but I like it. Much lower taxes, things are cheaper, except for housing which is ridiculously overpriced. There is not much to do in winter if you don't have a sport (I ski almost every weekend for cheap on some great mountains), not much history/identity, but in general Canadians are nice people who will invite newcomers to be part of their circle. I made friends fast, and the women love my accent when I find out I'm from France and not from Québec. You have to drive everywhere, which isn't something I'm used to. Calgary isn't the best city, pretty much like any average American city, but I have a very well paying job (around 65.000 EUR a year) that would be pretty much impossible to have as a 24 year old man in France.
