My friend is a senior manger with MSF. He's been in Africa for over a decade, now. It's a serious organization but it is NOT in the business of intelligence or screening. Maybe it's time I got out of the humanitarian industry, myself. I'm a career Red Cross field manager. I'm getting sick of it. I started this career as an idealist. Knowing what I know now, I have become a cynic and have seen just how selfish, entitled, demanding and arrogant the beneficiaries are. They are not fundamentally decent people at heart. They are grasping and lazy. I would not want them as citizens in my home country, and yet that is what my organization is doing, day in day out.
