Yes, ppl will tell you "fuck Spain", but they are liars, they enjoy spanish culture literally every day. Latin America is not a collection of democracies filled with natives, its a mesh culture of european traditions and indigenous big butts. Everyone here loves Spain, and only exists because of Spain.
What happens is that the Spanish Empire has gone through a lot of shit in the last couple hundred of years, and is kind of looking everyday more like an extension from Africa. They have become the joke of Europe. So this makes spanish people protect their hurt pride by saying stuff like "Latin America was a mistake".
But they are being stupid. Latin America was the greatest thing Spain ever did. By creating Latin America, they assured a backup in case the empire fell, which is exactly what happened later on, specially during the wars, they all came to take cover here.
Also, today Spain is only a part of the Eurozone, yet spanish culture and language extends through almost half a continent bigger than Europe itself, and an increasing number of parts of the US as well, it will not take long until the whole continent speaks spanish.
They are our dad, the lost empire of yore, from where the legends come from. We all here wait for their glorious return, to lead the Spanish takeover of America and the World.
