>/pol/ adamantly defends this
Anyone who believes that CEOs are unjustly paid, is free to become a CEO himself.
See how easy it for yourself
>>55915657
The CEO of Planned Parenthood makes $500k a year. How do liberals feel about that?
>>55915657
Jus become ur own CEO if its so easy man! XD
There is literally nothing stopping you
>>55915925
b-but it's a non-profit organization
>>55915835
Americans were getting closer to unwrapping the Jewish strings behind our government and economy. I have a feeling Bernie and Trump are plants to distract them and push more identity politics. The Jews were probably sweating right before both of those candidates were "escorted" into the spotlight.
>>55915657
It's truly indefensible. I mean, who pays these CEOs so much? We should give them a piece of our mind.
>>55915835
Fucking this
>>55915657
What's wrong? Just because I'm working hard by going to school on top of working full time to someday make more money, that doesn't mean I think anyone else should be forced to make less money so that I can have more.
>>55916211
>JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOS
>>55915657
Why do you believe people shouldn't be allowed to pay their employees whatever they want to pay them?
if a company goes south, it can lose billions of dollars and have to cut it's workforce by a huge amount, or go out of business. also note that the ceo rarely spends all the money he gets. it's reinvested and creates more jobs.
>>55915657
CEO is 300X more important than the average worker so....
A CEO is 300 times more important than the average worker.
ydiscussion forever
>>55915657
think of the average worker and how useless they are
now think of how much shit a CEO has to do, literally the entire company and the jobs on his shoulders
I say 300 is too low
Not to mention the average company with this type of pay has waaaaay over 3000 employees, most over 30,000 (at least for the "over 300 times pay" meme)
So best case scenario if you REMOVE the CEO pay by 100% so he gets nothing, employee pay will increase by 1-10% MAX
The average salary increases faster with inflation. This is just another example of liberal talking points that are all emotion and no practically.
>>55915657
If CEOs were truly overpaid, the laws of supply and demand would cause their salary to decrease.
No? Well fuck Bernie Sanders then.
>>55916722
this is liberalism, they don't trust free market
minimum wage part time job burger flippers need more pay because "they matter!" and CEOs who control millions and billions of dollars don't
>>55917013
They are right though, because the law of supply and demand is broken for average workers: You can correct a undersupply of labor with an increase in wages, but you can't treat oversupply by lowering wages.
>>55915657
damn those lazy retards that dont do anything all day
since its so easy, why dont just everyone on the planet become a CEO?
i mean you said it yourself, its so easy and theres nothing to do!
>>55915657
What's the point of this? With no CEO there would be no workers.
>>55915657
>Obama brings in fuckloads of immgrants legal or otherwise
>Obama encourages companies to hire them over citizens, and even makes it cheaper to hire them over citizens
>2/3 of all new jobs created since Obama took office have gone to foreign-born people as a result
>demand increases for everything due to the surge in populaiton growth caused by democrats, driving up the prices (and profits) for everything

Don't pay any attention to that hand slipping a few grand in their pocket and jerking them off a bit, that had nothing to do with it.
>>55915835
Guess we should start paying presidents in millions too.
Thats more just a testament to how valuable a good CEO is.
Why is it such a problem that CEOs make more money? I don't get it.
>>55915657
>you feel entitled to other people's money
Jealous ? fuck off commie
>>55915657
Not really, the left constantly focuses on it and anyone that does not think it is a big deal is considered defending it.
>>55915657
if people cared they could all quit their jobs at the same time
they don't so why should i?
we reap what we sow. people could easily boycott these companies, quit their jobs (others vow not to work for them) etc etc etc.
you all deserve what you get
>>55918214
It isn't a problem. Many confuse the average worker not making enough with CEOs making to much, but that is bullshit.
>>55917342
>supply and demand is broken
rofl
>>55918116
The problem is that they only deregulate in areas that only affect well-established companies or particular industries, for all the talk about encouraging entrepreneurship nobody wants to take a look at business licenses and other forms of approval you need to start shit.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: lemonade stand crackdowns are a symptom of something seriously wrong with society and government.
There are about 35,000 McDonald's restaurants worldwide, 1.7 million employees, and 1 CEO.
The CEO makes $1.1 millions dollars a year. If he decided to work for free and split his salary amongst every employee, they would each get an extra 64 cents a year.
Why should the CEO make less money?
>CEO pay increasing rapidly in relation to average workers
>Muh CEOs deserve every penny
>>55915657
>the average CEO is 300x more valuable than the average worker
At McDonalds, the CEO needs to make strategic business decisions which can create or destroy billions of dollars of shareholder value. The average fry cook just needs to manage a deep frier
>>55918214
it's the proportion. they've always made more money. in the past it was like 50 times as much as the average worker, today it's 300 and that is completely unjustifiable.
no one is saying they shouldn't make more, they're just saying it's completely disproportionate
>>55915657
You dumbass.
You think because we're right wing we defend inequality?
Wrong MOTHERFUCKER!
In fact, we detest inequality.
What you don't realize is that your socialist fairy tales will only INCREASE inequality.
FUCKING DUMBASS. God damn you have been brainwashed.
>>55918338
Yes, because average workers have thousands of dollars spare to keep them and their families fed and housed whilst they quit their jobs.
>>55915657
No I attack him with emporer trumps tax plan.
Are liberals that willing to give up a great chance to deal with the growing wealth gap for a sanctimonious party under JUST their banner.
>Literal communism.
What is compensation? Salary? Salary with benefits? Are benefits just insurance and access to untaxed money?
Is the fact that a CEO has massive amounts of passive income, investments in his corp., and access to the resources of the Corp relevant to Bernie and included in the graph?
>>55917890

is unemployment really such a big problem in America?
>>55918556

for why they're making more money. Demokeks brought it on themselves, they have no right to complain.
>>55918541
>The average fry cook just needs to manage a deep frier
They don't even need to do that, modern industrial frier's are self-managed.
>>55915657
>it's not fair other people make more than me
>>55915835
anyone who believes workers are justly paid is free to try it for a day.
>>55918434
Guess I am taking the bait, but care to explain why that is wrong? One of the core mechanics is that a decrease in price (wages) would lower the supply (workfoce). That dosn't happen after a certain point in the labor market because not all workers can be reschooled or moved to a place where supply for them is high.
So a certain control by the state is necessary
>>55915835
Carly Fiorina ruinned pretty much everything during his CEO tenure and still landed 100 million after the end of her contract.
Basically is the easiest shit ever and only jews will try to tell you otherwise.
"Oy vey goyim, our vork is harder than computer programming! Ve swear!"
>>55918655
that's a retarded argument. free trade and our open border policy started way before obongo.
there is a lot to blame obongo for, this isn't one of those things.
They get paid more today because they do more today. Companies are more diversified than ever before, and have more of a global presence than ever before. They require more expertise to manage.
anyone who thinks asking "would you like fries with that" means you should be living the good life is a dumb nigger
>>55915835
Your job isn't 300 times harder than anyone else's
>>55918647
Unfortunately, yes.
They claim our unemployment rate is only ~5% or less. In reality those statistics are only counting those on unemployment, meaning those who arent recieving gubermint funds arent even counted, its hard to say huge our unemployment rate actually is.
>>55915657
I don't give a shit what you backwards conservatives say. Bernster sticks up for the middle class and actually has a heart. The Immigration Act of 1965 which opened our borders to non-Whites was passed by Democrats.
Prior to that, immigrants to the US came almost exclusively from Northern Europe.

Fact: Since some jobs are mandatory for society to continue, some people will have to do them. Some people will have to be the ones who are forced to do this job.
Fact: "Get a better job" cannot possibly work for EVERYONE, it never was, and never will work. Our economic system depends on some people doing shit jobs for shit pay. Similarily, everyone may have the opportunity to become rich, but NOT ALL AT THE SAME TIME.

Their wages don't matter at walmart theyre raising them to 10 an hour and people will still be broke.
Walmart has government incentive to hire as many people as possible. If walmart needs 1000 manhours a day it is better for walmart to have 500 people working 2 hours than having 100 people work 10 hour shifts.
As soon as you become fulltime at walmart they are legally required to start pumping you full of expensive benefits programs which is why most walmart/mcdonalds/other mass employers keep a hugely bloated staff and keep as many as possible under the fulltime hours plateau.
Their raising the hourly wage 2 bucks which sounds nice but because walmart is smarter than lawmakers it will have little to no impact on the majority of their workers.
Those without cars will still be without cars, those who cant make rent still wont make rent.

delusions of grandeur basically
It's an indication that something's fucked up, but people like Colonel Sanders are ignoring the underlying causes and using it to push policies that are going to cause bigger problems.
This comes from globalism, excessive legal and illegal immigration and guest workers, and government interference in the economy, not insufficient progressiveness and lack of government interference in the economy.
Trillion-dollar bailouts are now the norm, since ludicrous tax law pushed for mergers in a previously competitive economy until we have huge too-big-to-fail conglomerates. Foreigners are crowded in to depress wages, while corporations are not penalized in any way for moving factories and jobs to oppressive and corrupt foreign countries rented out by their masters as slavepits and pollution toilets.
CEOs are hired and paid richly, not for their management skills, but for their connections in government which let them dance around regulations, dodge taxes, and extract subsidies, as graft for the investors to be permitted to turn money into more money by hook or by crook.

>When ever place cost 1000 dollar a month in rent I don't really have a choice do I?
When every place costs 1000 dollars a month, that figure becomes a component of what we call that the "cost of living."
If an area has a high cost of living it's up to you as the employee to find a job that compensates you for that high cost, or move.
>I can't move
That's really not a problem in the modern world. A hundred years ago mobility might have been a problem, but I've lived in 6 states, it takes NOTHING to move about the world today.
The fact of the matter is that some places are expensive to live in e.g. new york, LA, etc. And if you look at any metric, the jobs in those areas pay more than they would anywhere else to compensate. But if you still feel like you're not being compensated enough, that's why places like Texas are booming.
>someday the world will fill up and I'll have no place to move to!
I'm not going to argue science fiction. Affordable housing exists, if you're mad that some places are pricey, I literally have nothing more for you other to explain again that you should be pissed that you can't buy and develop your own property due to lefty regulations.

Would you say that Zuckerjew has no value? That he didn't create wealth with his Facebook idea?
Would you say that Gates has no value? That he didn't create wealth with Microsoft?
You don't seem to understand how this works Muhammad. The CEO didn't get there by snapping his/her fucking fingers.
He/she had to work hard to make a successful business. He/she probably failed half a dozen times (most just fail altogether), but then one day they finally got the formula right, and the profits started rolling in. This allowed for expansion, which then allowed for more employment, and so on and so on until he/she has now created job opportunities for hundreds of individuals that previously did not exist.
These people now have a job, they make good money, and they do their part to contribute to the business which then contributes to them. Those workers do have value, but at the end of the day they aren't the ones who created the framework, and they aren't the ones who are facilitating that creation of wealth through the framework. CEOs are simply much more valuable than their employees because of this, and that's why you won't see many CEOs with the same wage as say a secretary, who while important simply hasn't created something of such great value compared to the CEO.

Something a lot of Americans don't understand is that most of the rest of the world doesn't do that. Kids stay with their parents all the way up to their 30's or maybe even 40's and multiple generations will live in the same home.
One of the reasons housing seems so expensive in the US (especially cities) is because everyone insists on having their own home.

Sounds like it. I don't see how that sounds "insane" in any way. Mainly because I can strip away the unnecessary details in your statement.
Let's focus:
>the only job I can find doesn't pay for my cost of living
Yes. You should move. Workers leaving an area because the jobs don't pay enough for decent housing will force employers to either pay more or force landlords to lower rents. It happens everywhere.
>I just think if I want to live the minimum cost of living the minimum wage should be able to afford it.
Nah, because 100 people would have 100 ideas on what the "minimum cost of living" is. Is it living in your parents basement? Is it renting a room above a garage? Is a small efficiency 0-bedroom apartment? Is it a 1 bedroom apartment with all bills paid? Is it housing for a family of four? Is it a six bedroom two car garage in a gated community?
Who knows? It can be all of that and more when you literally just want things just because it's "insane" for you not to have them.

No, when she got HP, it was a world-class technology company that not only kept up with trends, but drove them. All the other technology companies used HP equipment, which was costly but excellent.
It just wasn't a big consumer technology company, so it couldn't pull the fattest lewt.
Instead of sticking to what the company was good at, she tried to turn it into something else entirely, abandoning core competencies to try and cash in on its good name, which was something that didn't appeal to consumers to begin with.

I'm assuming you haven't taken economics, so Ill give you a quick lesson. Try to tax them less and let the middle class and low income earners pay more taxers. That will cripple the economy. Consumption is needed for companies to grow and have less need for external financing. The top earners do not spend huge amounts more on consumption goods then middle income earners, they use most of their income in investing. That is good for companies looking to grow, but it would be less necessary if companies had increased sales since that would lead to their employees having more money and spending more on other business. This can lead to others having more money, thus new demand is created and will need to satisfied by new markets.
