I'm stuck between the Guardian and the Independent. Huffpost is pretty godawful as well.

Yeah the Spectator does seem good.
The Guardian's football section is decent and Frankie Boyle's opinion pieces are very reminiscent of his stand-up so that's good.
Everything else within that publication (opinion pieces, liberal comment circle-jerks, biased reporting) makes me want to lick an electrical socket after reading.
I feel that the BBC website is much, much worse than circa 5-10 years ago as well, comments are closed and reporting is fairly subjective. Guess this is what happens when a once great institution can no longer function as before since the old guard were implicit in covering peado rings within the HQ.

The Guardian is excellent for breaking stories and reportage, just avoid the clickbait opinion pieces.

The Guardian is largely shit but occasionally has a piece that'll give a different perspective you can find a middle ground from when you compare it to The Mail and Express. Hugbox now though full of snarky bearded faggots. The investigative journalism isn't too bad and coverage of the arts is usually pretty good.
The Independent used to be worth something. Now it's a rank stain of piss. Full on Tumblr. Not seeing a redeeming feature to them now.
The Daily Mail is scaremongering and low quality bait desperately trying to belittle its readers. Fucking obsessed with Diana and Madeline McCann.
The Express is The Mail on steroids with even worse advertising.
The Times is for posing fags that wish to appear both intellectual and above others. Its for retards that'll pay for a label while sipping organic cum infused kiwi fruit before picking up their autistic children from a school they moved house to get them into.
Telegraph is much the same as The Times. Just with more hand wringing.

BBC has lots of sections. The main, BBC One and the BBC's internet coverage is a foetid heap of shit if reasonably fast on coverage. The Radio side of things has more dissent and critical thinking. World Service is alright. It's gone downhill overall rapidly though.
