history books will tell you that the jews were hunted because just like today, they got more and more influence (through lending of money to kings) and could basically dictate what monarchs do on certain matters. people saw the jewish influence and killed them, simple as that.
history continues and repeats itself and WW2 was basically the first time that the jews won this fight and not the humans. One could argue that they won WW1 also because russia got weak enough for the bolshewik revolution but in WW1 nobody really fought against the jews.
