Racism isn't bad. Loyalty to your own groups, awareness of differences between people, and judging people or acting on those differences, are all good things.
They may argue that racism hurts feelings needlessly, but ANY time you judge a person or a group to be shitty, it hurts feelings. Even, and especially, when that person or group IS genuinely shitty. There isn't any way around that but for people to get used to being called shit, because every group and every person has some shittiness in them.

Racism, to me, consists of 4 elements:
Preference for your own extended family
Loyalty to groups of which you are a member
Awareness of differences between groups of people, and awareness of how likely a person is to fit their groups' stereotypes,
Judging or Acting based on the awareness above.
Hating other races falls under the first. While conflict can be bad, a family that reacts passively to conflict will be overrun (or outbred) by one that is comfortable with the conflict.
The issue is that if two families fight, they weaken each-other, and so BOTH may be overrun by a more distant family. Classic Doves and Hawks problem.
Being a Dove all the time is NOT the answer.
Plus, being a minority in a racist society still gives you a better life than living as a hermit, and usually better than being a majority in whatever hellhole they come from.
In this instance, being in the racist society SUPPORTS them more than it hurts them. Could it support them more, or hurt them less? Yes. But a society that looks out for its own, first and foremost, can still help others with the leftovers.
Loyalty to own groups is beneficial for multiple reasons, but has downsides when one of your own group is a traitorous backstabber that takes more than they give. In the absence of the selfish, though, group loyalty helps all members.
This is why white supremacists very much DON'T support "race traitors", or those who would take the whites' resources and give them to others.
White supremacy isn't about every single white person. Instead, it's about one group sticking together and helping each-other. The group refuses to help enemies, leeches, or traitors, and hopes to become prosperous by working towards their own benefit.
It's very much a survival strategy of ensuring their children have more resources and less chance of getting poached.

Yes, this does go poorly for people in shitty groups, and the good outliers (e.g. niggers who are loyal fathers, taxpaying workers, and who do not rob others) suffer as a result.
What you need to keep in mind, though, that treating everyone as though they were good, unfairly REWARDS the people who are genuinely shitty. Both the averages, and the exceptionally bad outliers.
If all you know about someone is their group average, the way to be the least wrong, is to assume they are near that average. Treat them too well, and you'll be giving undeserved rewards.
Society isn't zero sum, but there's still only a finite amount of stuff to go around. Giving that stuff to people who will appreciate it, build on it, and pass it on, is a much better investment to someone who disregards it, shits on it, and wastes it.
Therefore, if there is a race that is known for taking the resources you give them and squandering them, you shouldn't give them very much.
And if there's a race that is know for taking resources, and using those to threaten/trick you into giving them even MORE resources, and prefers using the resources to damage those who oppose them than build a future for those who support them, such that your society gets progressively poorer? Shoot them.
