The Middle East is collapsing because President Obango pulled American power out of Iraq and actively helped destabilize Libya, Egypt, and Syria. Those countries had dictators because they were full of hard line radical mudslimes who needed iron fisted dictators to keep them from chimping out. Now that the dictators are gone, they are chimping out "for Allah".

Middle East is full of fake countries whose borders were drawn up 100 years ago with the ideas of 20th century nationalism. If you look at the factions fighting now you will understand the Middle East struggle is a multi ethnic one. You got the Kurds, various Sunni factions, Shite factions, the Kurds and Arabs. These fake countries were held together by dictators like Saddam Kaddafi and Assad. Now that they are dead or under attack the different factions that were held under control now gained power and filled the power vacuum left by the dictators. If this conflict goes well new borders will be drawn and we can have some peace until it blows up again.

Politics and motives 100 years ago were different. At one point they had one figure authority, the Ottoman Empire that acted on the quarrels. At the same time the Ottomans was the common enemy they could fight against this was heavily the case the WWI. Now that the Middle East is not under one huge empire they shifted and expanded their quarrels with each other. The Middle East has always been a region of internal conflict. Even during the Crusades they were busy fighting with each other isntead of taking over Jerusalem. This isn't very different from Europe who have had centuries of war with one another. The biggest difference I see is that the different factions of the Middle East were always under one larger force, whether it be the first Caliphates, the Seljuks or the Ottomans and now the West keeping it on a leash for resources. The European countries who went to war throughout the Middle Ages until WWII at least had some independence to decide their faith on their own.
