How do I raise her to be a normal well adjusted woman? How do I ensure she ends up with a good honorable white man? How do I guide her in the right direction through life without being too controlling this leading her to take daily doses of BBC?

That's an average return, obviously there's no guarantee that you've actually made that return at the end of your investment period.
Let's you have some idea of how much money (lets say at least a 100K) you need by a certain date (18 years). You invest in safe instruments that are stable and can guarantee the cash you need by a certain date (like an annuity).
It's risk and return, your trading that high risk, higher return, for a lower returning asset that has a higher probability of you actually recognizing that return.
I've seen this before, where people pour money into the stock market, the market has a downturn and people lose their savings, and now they can't afford to put their kid through college.
If I were you, and I'm want to save enough money to put my kid through university, I would not risk putting their entire college fund into equity.
Doing research on this stuff is good, but just know that when you take risks like that it can back to bite to you.
