You misunderstand the root of the motivation behind Islamic extremism. It is born out of anger, not at the West in particular but at the fact that Islamic culture and society is seemingly inferior to Western culture and society. (Frankly probably inferior to East Asian culture and society as well.) The anger doesn't arise because they aren't accepted by the West, it arises because the West is in a position to accept Muslims and materially improve their lives because of it's success. The Islamic extremist hates this, because their chief view is that Islam is supreme and not just the best way to live a good life, but the only way to live a good life.
When the extremists come to Western societies and see non-muslims doing well and better than muslims in muslim countries this causes severe cognitive dissonance in them. They hate this and rationalize it as the West oppressing them.
The best thing to do is leave the muslim extremists in muslim lands where they then rationalize muslim society's failing as the muslims living there not being muslim enough or being the wrong kind of muslim and thus turn their violence inward. (see Pakistan.)
