It's understandable that different people cope differently with these kinds of things, but my mind always places situations like these into a zone where speaking, needlessly sending "sympathies" or otherwise exposing people to incidents like these are huge red flags.
Show some fucking respect to the victims and their families by giving them time and privacy. Millions of people painting their face with a french flag for a week on a social networking site only a few days after the attack is NOT that.
It took me well over half a decade to come in terms of what happened and that was just a crazy kid with a bomb in his backpack. These people were attacked by jihadist who were carrying assault rifles.
How do i mourn them? By shutting the fuck up about what happened and finding ways to stop these kind of things from happening again. I'd suggest anyone who wants to truly be humane to do the same.
