I'm planning on moving to New Zealand to study for my master's degree. Are mudslimes a threat? Being a quite remote island and all that, I believe it'd be quite safe. Can any NZ fags tell me more? Also, are immigrants well-absorbed into the community?
>>

We don't mind immigrants as long as you are civilised. You should fit in well. Which city are you studying in?
>>
>>55804890
Stay out of there you dirty gipsy.

I'm studying in Bucharest now, and I plan on moving to Christchurch.

my second option would be Hamburg :^)

I stayed in NZ for 1 year, and it was pretty nice.

If you'll be in Auckland for your studies, you might want to brush up on some Chinese and Korean.

Overall, pretty white though. All the homeless are Maori and obese, which is pretty hilarious.

>>55804890
You'll have to participate in the weekly sheep shagging ritual that has been practiced in New Zealand since time immemorial.
>>
>>55804890
what a pussy you are.
>>
>>55804890
You'll be fine if you are med brown - white, just stay away from Auckland all the immigrants are dumped there only 50% Kiwi.

Go to Wellington say you are a refugee and fuck all the hipster sluts

>hipster sluts

This interests me.

Would Christchurch be a bad choice, though?
>>
>>55805208
Christchurch is my hometown i can fill you in. We have asians and pacific islanders (not as much as the north island tho, its shit up there) but everyone else will be white, maybe 1% mudslimes too. The biggest tards are bogan dumbcunts though who are just the NZ equivalent to american rednecks, they mostly live in the eastern suburbs of chch. Apart from that everyone are just normal kiwis.

dont expect great nightlife or anything spectacular we're still rebuilding
>>
>>55805667
Depends on what part of Christchurch and what kind of people you want to hang around with. most kiwis are laid back don't fuck around with the yokels in the country side tho.

I am a geography autist and I will say a bit more about NZ geography, assuming this thread is alive.

I wouldn't worry too much about Muslims in NZ.

How are the winters there?

I'm from the US, is there a way that I could go there as "refugee"? I want to get the fuck out of here and start a new life.

I've never visited, but I would imagine that they are fairly mild, both because of NZ's situation in the southern hemisphere (which has milder winters apart from Antarctica), and since the whole country is close to the ocean. I will let a real resident tell me right or wrong.

The reason why Antarctica has such brutal winters compared to the rest of the southern hemisphere is because it has a much higher elevation, on average. Also the whole totally dark thing for much of the year.

Now for the political geography. New Zealand has a very peculiar political geography at the moment, which is actually comparable to the USA in the sense that we both have a bunch of uninhabited outlying islands in the pacific ocean. They also have some de-facto vassal states, as does the USA, both in the same part of the world (polynesia).

We have varied extremes it is really weird. you can be up to your neck in snow in some places during the winter and have Mediterranean summers.

Were i live it pisses rain for 1/3 of the year then goes into drought mode.

Not very likely but try it anyway.

New Zealand's top-level political geography is known as the /realm/ of New Zealand ; Elizabeth is "QUEEN OF NEW ZEALAND" of every one of these FIVE bits:

-New Zealand "Proper" (being the mainland, North and South Island, and some nearby islands)
-Tokelau (currently a dependent territory which the UN doesn't like, but literally nobody else cares)
-Niue (a devolved, de facto and de jure independent state associated with NZ proper)
-Cook Islands (another devolved, de facto and de jure independent state)
-Ross Dependency (New Zealand's Antarctic claim).

Every other bit of clay having to do with this "Realm" is administered from the NZ mainland. In particular, there are nine mostly uninhabited /outlying island/ groups, which are (mostly!) administered by NZ proper:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Zealand_outlying_islands

Some granular commentary on two above inhabited islands of interest: Stewart Island, the fairly large island just to the south of South Island, has a few hundred people living on it permanently. It is organized politically as part of one of the South Island's /regions/, which I'll get into in a minute.

Finally, the Chatham Islands, (accounted for above) are also governed as part of New Zealand Proper, and also have a permanent population of a few hundred people. Australia is to Norfolk Island as New Zealand is to the Chatham Islands - a notable, goofy little population far to the east of the mainland. The Chatham Islands have a devolved county-level local government, although some of their top-level affairs are managed for them by Wellington.

Finally, where the mainland (and NZ proper) is concerned, the state/province level division is known as a REGION (16 of these), while the county/local level division is known as a TERRITORIAL AUTHORITY (67 of these counting Chatham). New Zealand is small enough that in some cases these are coterminous; Auckland is a regional and local government all rolled into one, for example.

The map makes this as simple as possible (which is: not very). The patches of color are the regions (like states), and the black outlined areas are the territorial authorities (like counties). Notice that these can overlap each other. In particular, "Taupo" in the middle of North Island has territory in /four different regions/. Confusing!

The only truly large city in the whole country is Auckland, at 1.5 M. South Island is physically larger, but all of South Island has barely 1.0 M residents. OP, you will be living in a rather isolated part of the world, which can be comfy, although it might drive some normies a bit crazy. This is not to say that they don't have sizeable cities, but I think everyone understands what I mean by now.

Taxes go to Regional government like infrastructure development and shit and rates go to local government to pay for upkeep of services.

or in Aucklands case they go to bribe boongas in South Auckland to vote for socialist mayors causing mass revolt and succession from local and regional government.

Look that up if you want a laugh.

The thing that really triggers my autism is how TAs (counties) and Regions (states) are "meshed" over each other in the present setup.

In the United States, it is very common for a city or town to have territory in more than one county. The most famous example of this is New York City, which is coterminous with and extends over five different counties (which are also called boroughs, but this is just a local term of art - in New York State government, everything is a county).

But there is no such thing (I think!) as a COUNTY which extends across multiple states. It simply isn't done here, but it sure is in NZ.

Blame the Brits they always make a shitshow when it comes to colonies, boundaries and borders. I think it has to do with their Feudal history.
