Guys, yesterday was pretty sick.
I woke up, and went to my parents house for a coffee. My mother (Liberal) was back from church and she was visibly angry. She told us that the priest told them a lot of things about how our country was the richest from the bronze age all the way until Byzantium and how and why Islam had ruined that. She was hardcore triggered, but then, out of nowhere, my father (atheist and socialist) AGREED, and we ended up having a conversation that convinced my mother that Islam is the bane of the earth. I was thrilled.
Then my father was going somewhere so he drove me to work which was on his way.(I don't own a car). During the ride the radio was playing patriotic French music (including the French National Anthem) And then they had a political discussion. I kid you not, first question to the political analyst was: Why can't we just nuke the entire middle east? What is holding us back at this point? I was thrilled.
Then I arrived at work. I teach guitar in an after school activity center. I always try to avoid political discussions here because I stand out. All music teachers here are hardcore leftists, some openly communist. Yesterday, they came to me. I told them I was too busy talking to them about their fantasies and utopias. I am busy living in reality land. Needless to say, after the discussion they adopted all of my rhetoric by the end. I was thrilled.
Then I came home. I changed my profile pic to the French flag. But I also noticed a movement of people changing it to THE GREEK FLAG. (pic related)
They were like: THE ANSWER IS NOT MULTICULTURALISM OR SECULARISM THE ANSWER IS THE CROSS AND THE STRIPES! DEUS VULT!
