So... Hillary Clinton might be the democrat nominee this time. However, how did she get Obama'd in '08? Can that kekage happen again this time around?

Woman has a plastic personality.
I ignored 99% of the shit that came out of her mouth and all of this pandering to social justice faggots is the only way she's gonna get the millennial vote.
>>
China has all her emails and they are going to dump them to the internet a month before the general election. The chinks want a republican in office.
>>
>>55776107

How young are you? Obama did basically what Bernie Sanders did now, by appealing to young college leftists. The big difference is that Obama was a relatively young black guy, and really nobody wanted to go Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton as far as our Presidents went.

She tried to pull the sexist card. She tried to capitalize on racist sentiments. But regardless, people in 2008 thought they'd be stuck with her, but as soon as there was a viable option they went with it.

That, and she's just a bad politician. She comes across as fake and opportunistic. Even her supporters don't particularly like her. She's never won a competitive election, and the more people are exposed to her, the less they like her.
>>
I'm kind of a liberal myself to be honest. I was planning on being a sheeple and voting for whoever the democrat nominee is. But holy fuck, Clinton is not making this easy for me. I fucking hate her, she's in the pocket of Wall Street and didn't even deny it, she promotes the wage gap myth, she's running on the fact she has a vagina, she voted for the Iraq war. I'm still a liberal, but Clinton is a borderline republican to me. I'm probably voting third party this election.

>Western Illinois University Predicts a Bernie Sanders Victory in 2016

Source: http://www.nbcchicago.com/blogs/ward-room/Western-Illinois-University-Predicts-Bernie-Sanders-Victory-in-2016-346130992.html

Bernie Sanders Wins WIU’s Historically Accurate Mock Election

The Road to the White House starts at Western Illinois University

WIU recently held their traditional mock election. It is an incredibly intricate and organized event starting with primary and caucuses and finishing up with a mock general election.

Dr. Rick Hardy and Dr. John Hemingway have been leading Mock Presidential Elections since 1975. During that time, students who have participated in these mock elections have chosen the winning party with 100% accuracy and have an astonishing record in selecting presidential winners.

On the Democratic side for the Primaries Sanders won by close to a 2 to 1 margin over challenger Hillary Clinton. Martin O’Malley finished the primary with about 1/18 of Bernie’s take of the delegates. See chart below.

Kind of funny cause they have Jeb as winning the repulican nomination.

Well, there haven't been that many 21st Presidents so far, but I do think Bush is probably the best.

Well, Hillary's a killer. She got robbed by Obama in 2008 because the blacks abandoned her and she died in the south. She'll do anything to win, and she has no scruples. She'll play the race card, the woman card, anything and everything that she can think of, she'll do.

She's going to win the nomination. You can bet your ass on that.
>>
She got obama'd because the public and especially the DNC together realized that she was incompetent and evil.

But the problem now is that the DNC chair is her fist-puppet. Wasserman Schultz will do whatever she says. Hillary is essentially waging a coup. It's the reason why her only competitor in the race is a populist Social Democrat- He's the only politician who can, no matter how poorly he's handling it.
>>
>>55777301

This is the most wrong thing I've ever read.

Hillary was the establishment in 2008, and she's still the establishment.

Wasserman-Schultz is a shill who will literally say anything to support any Democrat. Don't you remember 2012? It was horrible. She's a nightmare who will lie, get BTFO on MSNBC of all places, and still keep lying.
>>
>>55776107
Hillary is not likable and Obama got large black voter turn out.

Problem with Democrats is that they only do well during Presidential election years. They also have a problem that all their special snowflakes must feel pandered to. If they don't feel like the election is all about them. They will now vote.
>>
>>55776107

>However, how did she get Obama'd in '08

Because Obama has a black dad.

She's going to win just because she's a woman.

Voters care more about emotional symbolism than substance (as in first black prez, first woman prez look how progressive we are)
>>
>>55777433

How does that contradict anything I said?

First Howard Dean was the DNC chair in '08. Clinton may have been "the establishment"- but are you trying to suggest that she wasn't gradually and willingly dumped for Obama? Bullshit.

She didn't have the DNC by the balls in '08. Today she does.
>>
>>55777433

and every DNC chair lies to get a democrat elected. That's their job you dope.
>>
>>55777279
shouldn't most blacks abandon her now and become more attracted to "MUH FREE WEED" and BLM activist that is Bernie?
>>
>>55777652
Doesn't matter what Hillary "owns" inside the party now.

If Hillary can't generate the turn out of black, hispanic, and young voters. Then they will go with Sanders. Even if Hillary won the majority of the Primary elections, because primaries are not real elections and are private functions of the parties. They can do what ever they fuck they want and nominate someone that wasn't even in the primaries.
>>
>>55777710

Yeah, but the only politician blacks like more than Obama is Bill Clinton, and if times get tough for Hillary, expect Bill to make appearances when voting reaches the South.
>>
>>55777701

Yeah, that's exactly what I was saying.
>>
>>55777812
Only Florida and Virginia are relevant for the Democrats.

You can not get any of the other former CSA states to vote majority Democrat.
>>
>>55777907

In primary season, moron. She's running against Sanders now, not any Republican. Once primary voting reaches the South, she can blow Bernie out of the race by mobilizing the black vote, secure the nomination, and then start worrying about the general.
>>
>>55776699
Illinois is Bernie dicked af. Literally every college democrat I've talked to supports Bernie. I'm from Illinois and WIU is a shit tier school. I would ignore this desu.
>>
>>55778047
How can she do that when Bernie is promising free everything paid for by the rich white man?
>>
>>55778131

Because blacks are low-information voters. Most voters are low-information, but blacks especially.

Clinton has name recognition, and Bill Clinton is the second most popular politician in black communities, after Obama. Blacks might vote for a guy like Trump over Hillary, but they're not going to vote against a Clinton for an old white Jew, no matter how much he panders to them.
>>
>>55777800

Of course. But they still hold general elections.

If they nominated someone who wasn't in the primaries they have a 0% of winning a general election except though violent force. A real coup.

That won't happen. They'll fudge the popular primary votes to make Hillary win just enough. In the meantime she has solidified her lead in pledged superdelegates, which is a complex system that we are not supposed to understand. Sanders has to REALLY shake things up to have a chance

Unless of course Sanders gets a significant proportion of the popular primary vote- and then their hands are tied.

>>55777907
Schultz is more in bed with Clinton than Dean was. You need to do more research

The only people who will vote for her are the people who are only voting for her based on the fact that she's a woman.

She's a cancer to everyone else. Shit, look at the homosexuals. In a decision between her, someone who was against gay marriage until it became a politically viable platform, and the guy who has been for it since the sixties, who do you think they will vote for? Other liberals just see her as a corporate shill and/or warmonger, do you think they'd vote for her?

The only thing she has going for her is that she is a woman.
>>
>>55778098
Fuck I hate this worthless state.
>>
>>55778401
Hillary voted for keeping marriage between a man and a woman.

Then conveniently "evolved" on gay marriage just in time for her next election.
>>

>low-information voters
dude, seriously, rush is a closet faggot, you should try thinking for yourself.
>>
>>55778303
>Unless of course Sanders gets a significant proportion of the popular primary vote- and then their hands are tied.

Which isn't going to happen.

Look, I'm not happy about it, and I'm not a leftist anyway, but the reality of the situation is that people like Sanders only appeal to political neophytes and political junkies. Most people aren't interested in radical change.

Sanders is the Democrat Ron Paul. People experiencing their first election think that he's the greatest thing that has ever happened, but they're vastly outnumbered by people who are more or less content with the way things are. If anything, the mood of the country is shifting to the right, not the left. Hillary represents the status quo, and that's an easily defended spot.

Most of the people who will vote in the primary aren't paying attention yet. They'll get blasted with ads leading up to election day and make their decision then. The candidate won't be picked by the people who are obsessing over candidates three months before voting starts.
>>
>>55778747
Sanders isn't running to win and it shows to anyone with 2 brain cells.

Sanders is running to change the Democrat platform to be more Euro Welfare State.

Five shekels says he ends up being Hillary's VP or gets a Secretary position.
>>
>>55778747

Sure. Your first argument was that Clinton was rigged to win in '08 which is wrong and bullshit and fuck you. Obama had a better platform, but he won with the DNC's blessing through and through. But otherwise we are more or less on the same page. The Democrat strategy this round is disturbingly obvious. This is due to Clinton consolidating party power for the last 8 years.

In a sick way her strategy for winning is more communist (controlling The Party) than Sanders could ever hope to be.
>>
>>55778908
>Five shekels says he ends up being Hillary's VP or gets a Secretary position.

I disagree, honestly. Hillary can beat him without owing him anything, and she'll probably pick a VP who'll give her more luck in the general.

She can mobilize the base by resurrecting the War on Women narrative, and talking about how the next President will choose Supreme Court Justices that will determine the future of the nation.

Democrats might hate her, but they'll vote for her if they think that it's the only thing that will keep the courts from swinging to the right for a generation, especially if she fearmongers.

Gay marriage, abortion rights / women's health, healthcare? The courts gave it, and they can take it away. Vote Hillary, unless you want to go back to a world where gays are lynched; women die in alleys from botched abortions; and people bleed out in the street because Obamacare was repealed.
>>
>>55779277
The Supreme Court isn't going to reverse it self on any typical social issue. So long as one of the current members was also a member when the last ruling was made.

>>
>>55779277
Can Bill Clinton legally be Hillary's Vice President or NAH?
>>
>>55779220

If I gave the impression that I thought she rigged it in 2008, then I'm sorry, because I don't think that.. I've been drinking, so it might be my fault, but that's really not what I meant.

The establishment didn't really see Obama coming. It'd be like if Jeb had remained popular, grown in popularity, Trump and Carson never showed up, and Rubio became a serious challenger and overtook him.

The DNC loved Obama, but they thought of him as a possible VP at best, and a serious contender in later elections definitely. They came around, but it was a bitter, bitter, bitter fight.
>>
>>55779389

Minor details, when you're running a campaign. Roe vs. Wade will never be overturned, for reasons that are really obvious if you actually read Roe vs. Wade. But what does that really matter if you can scare women into voting for you by claiming that it will?
>>
>>55776107
>how did she get Obama'd in '08?

The same way Foreman got Muhammad Ali'd. But there's a limited supply of the best heavyweight of all time, just as there's a limited supply of Obama.

This time around Hilldawg is a shoo-in
>>
Sander's will never overtake her as the nom because he refuses time and time again to hammer her on her flaws.
>>
>>55779484

Possibly. It's never been tested, so it's unclear.

He's ineligible to be elected President, but the requirement for VP states that the VP has to eligible to serve as President. No one really knows if someone who is eligible to be President yet not be elected to the Presidency can be elected as a VP because it's never come up, for obvious reasons.

A more interesting question is about the Speaker of the House, who's third in line. There are no real requirements, not even that the Speaker is a member of Congress, so the House could theoretically elect a Speaker who's a 22 year old, born in Mexico, who ascends to the Presidency if the President and VP both die or abdicate.

At that time, he probably wouldn't be President, just Acting President until an election could be held. An interesting question with no answer, because it's never come up.
>>
>>55779484
It is murky.

There is law against nepotism.

The 12th amendment says you can not be VP if you are ineligible to be president.

22nd amendment only allows you to run twice, or once if you have already been acting president on someone else's term for two or more years.
