Carson and Trump are the two worst possible candidates for the republicans. They have their base tied up (50+, angry gun-loving, religious white people) but if they don't reach outside of that, they are simply not going to win. Rubio has a better shot, even Jeb...Cruz is just as batshit crazy and could never actually convince anyone else besides the base to support him. GOP rumor mill has it that they are seriously trying to persuade Romney to run again, as this year's field is so horrible..
