I already know it is not possible to "fix" poverty, because resources are finite and people are not equal, but for the sake of an argument lets think of ways to do it.
So if we make the assumption that giving money to a poor person fixes poverty, which is more efficient - paying the government 1000 dollars to give 500 dollars to some poor person and waste the rest on overhead and wages of unproductive employees, or opening a volunteer charity and donating that 1000 dollars to poor people you deem deserving?
If you really want to help poor people, donate money to them directly or a charity that you know to be efficient and useful.
Giving money to poor people doesn't fix poverty by the way, in fact I am poor myself and if the government gave me about as much as I make while working I'd just stop working. My quality of life is at a level I deem adequate, which is why I am currently not interested in improving my pay grade. Imagine living a life without having to work. It'd be great.

Trust me, I was all for #freecollege until I did some research and found out what it would really cost. Free health care sounded great too but it has really impacted the medical field negatively. Like I said before, Gen ed community college courses may work but the US is in too much debt to be giving everyone free college. Which is why I want Trump since I feel he has good methods on fixing that debt.
