It's just cynical realism.
It means not believing in idealistic things, even things like absolute morality. We in the west have an idea of "human rights" morality and pretend this is shared by all in the world at some level, but this is a delusion. The delusion led to failures like trying to bring democracy to the middle east. It also leads to problems like trying to make people live together when they don't share the same beliefs, under the assumption that they all "deep down, really want the same thing."
A more "redpilled" view would be that morality doesn't persist beyond the groups of people who hold moral beliefs in common, and it's not accurate to describe moral systems themselves as "good or bad" but as "effective or ineffective" to the survival of the societies which adopt them. This isn't the same as "might makes right", but it's an indisputable fact that might makes survival and determines who still exists in the next generation.
It's just a cynical view of human behavior that sees people as slightly more intelligent animals, throwing away any idealistic thing like universalism, blank slate, absolute equality between people, a lot of the ideas that have been popular for the past 50 years.
