Barrel bombs are real.
All they are are inaccurate bombs not bar different than most other bombs.
They are used because they are cheap and easy to produce
Rebel forces and the Iraqi army use similar weapons, with the major difference being that the rebels use shells rather than dropping them on the enemy

Would it be any different if it was mortar, dumb bombs, or missile strikes? Do people actually believe all strikes are 100% accurate and don't kill civilians or something?

Take Drone strikes as an example: 10% actual targets 90% civilians. Even against the cartels bullets kill civilians. Even the best of the 'smart' bombs and bullets still end up killing civilians.

Barrel bombs is/was just a meme used by warmongers to try get the west to intervene in the Syrian civil war. Mostly used by McCain and Lindsey Graham. It didn't work.

Not phosphorous, but ЗAБ-2,5 type incendiary bomb that uses thermite-type mixture as its burning element. In this case the beautiful secondary explosion suggests that the target was ammo/explosives storage, not a kindergarten

The pictured "S-400" was just 96L6 radar and while it can be used with S-400 it can also be used in conjunction with modernized S-300's as well or as a stand alone unit to monitor the skies around the airbase

Many of the "moderate rebel groups" the US supported ended up defecting personnel, giving/selling weapons and vehicles, and "losing" money to ISIS, Al Nusra, and Al Quadea.

It's an interesting phenomenon that some of the "moderate rebel groups" leaders were also found consorting with groups that were not moderate.

>>55675987
He did, he said something like "The tragedy that occurred in Paris is what happens every day in Syria"

Which is really something to think about. This is not just about one part of the world being peaceful and the other a war zone.

The West needs to take a good hard look at its involvement with the middle east. Europe needs to stop being an accomplice in U.S led coups and destabilizations.

There is no justification for the attacks, but there is an explanation. And the explanation is that this is the Syrian conflict spilling over to Europe. Hollande was right when he said this is an act of war, but he failed to mention that this is not the first act of war. France has been part of the airstrikes against ISIS. In the eyes of the ISIS foot soldier, France is a country that had already been raining bombs on them for some time.

This is a grim reminder that conflicts can not be contained in designated Orwellian conflict zones forever. I don't know if the attackers were among refugees or otherwise, but the West has grown so accustomed to the normality of bombing some far away country, they forgot they were at war in the first place.

Well put. Hopefully as the frequency and severity of these attacks increase people will start to wake up from their Kumbaya fantasy land.

The pessimist in me thinks that this will force more people into supporting ever more invasive surveillance and further curtails on individual freedom. Just think how last night could have gone down if just one of the civilians in that theatre had been carrying a compact handgun.

You keep ignoring the fact that most top world powers and many others are directly involved in this conflict.

>wahhabism vs the rest
>kurds gonna kurd

The conflict is about sectarian violence on a population level only. That is not the reason "secular" rebels are shitting TOWs out of their asses. That is not the reason Russia or the West is involved. That is not the reason Obama has been arming rebels for 5 years. That is not the reason Erdogan is preventing Kurds from cutting off ISIS from the Turkish border. That is not the reason Kurds are trying to prepare for a Raqqa siege. ISIS may be sectarian, but the reason it is able to exist is not. You don't call it a dogfight when the security guard releases the hounds.

You talk a lot of bullshit but say very little.

Syria is in the middle of a massive sectarian/religious conflict.

That's why Sunnis (Wahhabis) from all over the world are going there to fight for Nusra or IS.
That's why Shiites from all over the world are going there to fight for Assad.

Europe has left such religious bullshit far behind, and has ZERO reason to draw any parallels with Mudslime battlefields like Syria.

Literally the ONLY thing Europe needs to think about is how to keep Mudslime bullshit from happening here.

I would say "by having only minimal involvement in Syria/Iraq", but essentially, yes.
The US is already quite involved in Syria and their goals mostly overlap (especially since being allied with the US is important for Europe) so a minimal (and inexpensive) effort (diplomatically condemning, supplying weapons to "politically correct" parties like the kurds, diplomatic pressure on Turkey) seems like a good choice.

I don't necessarily agree with this, but that's how I see it happening.

A full blown invasion would be more effective at both removing Assad and possibly reducing Islamic Terrorism in the short term, but it's not feasible because it's a) expensive, b) Russia would not like it, and an escalation over Syria would make it not worth it.

Lastly, even the EU must have realized by now that the only way to Syria/Iraq won't be a full blown extremist haven for the next 50 years will be to have some sort of stability, and that's not possible without Assad. So they just keep going on condemning Assad while having accepted that he will have to stay for the foreseeable future.
And having him be at least a weaker Russian ally than before isn't all that bad either.

Some folks were theorizing that the jews were behind this and postualated what they would have to gain by spreading thier hated enemy all over the world.

What if the jewish people are getting us(the majority of the white world) to attack thier only enemy witha strong sense of anything?

The people who take the quran to heart would not take shit from obvious jewish regimes. The are as mad dog as the isrealies but without the deception and meticoulous slowburn planning. They would sure as shit fight them to death though.

No shit, Sherlock. Because one side consists of entirely of Sunni Muslims fighting to establish sharia law based on their own religious understanding. If this goal involves killing religious minorities, then surely minorities will band together, but the fact that Sunni Muslims are also fighting on the same side as the minorities points to nationalistic rather than religious objectives.

Free Syrian Army. Initially formed back in 2007 or so after Assad raised taxes due to drought conditions. Sunni protested then things became violent. Those protestors formed the FSA. CIA/Mossad saw an opportunity to overthrow Assad and began funding them and supplying weapons. The FSA took those weapons/money and ran - mostly to join Nusra/AQ/ISIS or just high-tail it to the hills.

The FSA was a complete failure for the US. Recently, everybody just started calling them the "moderate rebels" - FSA is no longer relevant, but it's still in the vernacular.

The new US/coalition backed group is called the Syrian Democratic Forces - same shit, different day.

Never, as per plan. ISIS will continue to be armed and funded by the west, and used as a proxy tool, to open up Syria and Iraq to Western destruction and destabilization/balkanization. The only target in Syria is Assad and the Syrian people, never "ISIS"

We will scream "Death to ISIS" on the media, while we bomb Assad and the SAA.

SDF is American proxy army under a different name as "Arab tribes" described by the media not long ago. Their main purpose is to win the race in attacking ISIS before Assad and the Russia eventually do. Remember that any land taken by the SDF cannot be taken back by the Syrian government becuase the US is directly supporting them. It is done so that the US has a dog in this fight to gain a seat at the table for a post-war political settlement like they did in the race to Berlin. Expect the race to Raqqua within next year.
