In the middle east ISIS is waging a ground war for more control, and also ISIS is Sunni, while the Syrian leadership is Shia or mostly so, and they might as well be two different religions due to the hate they have for each other. France has way more muslims than Sweden does, even if you take population into account. Swedish secret police have already prevented a number of planned terrorist attacks. Sweden has had attempted muslim terrorist attacks that thankfully didn't result in any deaths except for the would-be terrorist himself.
Not having an active role in campaigns in MENA countries against muslim extremists has probably spared Sweden from many muslim terrorist attacks, though. Same reason why Germany hasn't had any significant muslim terrorist attacks.
