The dictionary isn't prescriptive, is in telling people how to speak. It's descriptive, as in, reflecting how people do speak. Great, that's awesome that we've covered that.
But then the author goes ahead and prescribes out words should be used. Apparently, dictionaries aren't the authority on linguistics, HE IS. And he's inserting his own political narrative and world view into how he wants words to be defined.
Then, anyone who disagrees with his own personal definition of how words should be defined he shoots down and says "Nope! Racism doesn't mean what you think it is!"
He's literally doing the exact same thing that he's complaining about people doing. Language is a fluid thing, constantly changing and held together only under the shared agreement of how words should be defined.
