If a company achieves monopoly by offering a good quality service for the lowest possible price and puts the competition out of business this way (the capitalist monopoly) then there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. The other companies went out of business because the society deemed their services as either lacking quality or overpriced and we can enjoy the objectively better service and if the monopoly company starts abusing their position there's literally nothing that stops their competition from reemerging.
The bad monopolies happen when a company achieves monopoly and then tries to secure this position by lobbying with the government to over regulating the market and make it harder for competition to enter their field.
A capitalistic monopoly is good for you and if it's bad it's going to be very short lived (Apple went from the verge of bankruptcy to the richest company in the world simply because Microsoft thought they could do whatever they want and people would still be forced to buy their shit). A capitalistic society protects you from the monopolies you should fear.

No, they aren't. Most people are nationalist, which is fundamentally a grass roots, progressive and revolutionary ideology. They are stuck in the 19th/20th century as revolutionaries for a system that has moved on. They aren't "conserving" anything.
