If the dindu's all got shipped out, it'd be that much easier for the present government to confiscate firearms because the clear and present danger posed by nigs would no longer apply. America might have had a crime rate close to that of most of western Europe, but without any evidence to contradict gun grabbers they would've run amok and total confiscation may well have happened in the US with the full support of the population.

Lincoln said that (or alluded to that plan of reconciliation with the Confederacy) during the war prior to his issuing of the emancipation proclamation.
After the emancipation proclamation, and after the war, the possibility that he would've sent them back (to Liberia I believe) was pretty much non-existent.
Him getting shot by Booth changed little if anything.
