There were two faculty members in that video with Tim Tai - Both of them literally, 100% assaulted students in a single video. Both of them oversaw violence and did nothing. One of them literally advocated for it and the other condoned it ("There's nothing I can do!!"). Both of them have verbally harassed and intimidated students with threats of violence.
There are numerous, almost countless potential legal infractions that you can apply. The group of students moving Tim Tai can be legally defined as kidnapping. Faculty members of a public institution have federal regulations forcing them to Good Samaritan type laws. 1st Amendment aside, it was a public place and Missourai state actually passed a law literally saying Public Quads are 100% public spaces and must not be restricted access to in any way, so not only are the faculty members guilty of violating that but as employees of the University that can fuck Mizzou with restricting access to the Quad.
If we lived in a sane world where prosecuting these people wouldn't be called "SYSTEMATIC RACISM!!!" a Prosecutor could make their entire career out of this case. There are so many potential charges you can lay you will either go to court and put these people through the wringer, or get an amazing plea bargain and plaster their fucking faces all over the paper.
It's the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. It's why I don't think I will ever go back to University ever again. This is the direction education is going. They are going to get away with this and it makes me sad.
