The Sith as a doctrine works in some ways but in many it does not.
For instance they think that you should never be discouraged from researching new techniques and skills regardless of their intentions or purpose. And I find that the right way to look at it since that's basically enlightenment in a nutshell.
However as we all know gray Jedi is the way to go since the dark side is just a quick way to gain power bit it lacks any temperament and Jedi is far too idealistic and sedentary hence being both for and against both schools of thought brings out the best in both with none of the negatives.
