This man HAS to be defeated at all costs.

>""Whether it's taxes or wages, if they're too high we're not going to be able to compete with other countries," Trump said Thursday morning on Fox News."

http://www.cnn.com/2015/11/12/politics/donald-trump-explains-wages-too-high-comment/index.html

This guy ACTUALLY BELIEVES that labor in the United States should be trying to compete with labor in developing countries. This guy ACTUALLY WANTS you, me, and everyone else in the country to work for 65 cents an hour so we can attract manufacturing jobs back from China and other developing countries.

This guy is insane and needs to be stopped NOW.

Did you not read his statement? He said he thinks WAGES ARE TOO HIGH.

He says we should be COMPETING WITH OTHER COUNTRIES.

Which countries is he talking about? That's right. Developing countries. Countries like China where people work for 65 cents an hour.

That's what he said. It is right there in his own words. That is economic globalization run amok, and it needs to be stopped.

Uh, no, I'm not. It is right there in his own words.

What other countries are we going to be competing with for jobs that would require lower rages? All Trump talks about is "bringing jobs back." Now he wants to "bring jobs back" in conjunction with "drive down wages so we can compete."

It is clear as day what he means. This guy actually wants us to return to the gilded era, but with a massively devalued currency. What a disaster.

"The comment repeated past statements from "The Apprentice" star, who has said he wants to put a 25% tariff on all Chinese imports, to level trade imbalances in the global economy."

He isn't talking JUST about driving SOME wages down--and there ARE artificially high wages in our economy--he's talking about balancing trade by imposing tariffs on slave labor countries that undercut us artificially. He's been saying that for years.

AND HE'S FUCKING RIGHT.

that fact that we are hemeraging jobs to overseas counties or down mexico way is a very clear indication that we ARE in competition with these countries. Why do you think shit is made in china 8/10?

In order for jobs to remain here America has to be competitive place to start a business, if that means higher taxes on imports, or controlling the border so that our population stablizes

I bet you think that our country needs to be constantly growing in population to remain profitable, and other left bullshit designed to keep blue voters flooding into texas and arizona as well.

What if I told you getting immigration under control would stem the endless ways of off the books/under the table workers leeching money out the economy by not paying taxes, or sending it out of country to their homelands.

fewer workers means higher demand for workers, which means better pay naturally. There is a reason that the left, and the established right all want open borders.

It keeps the work force bloated and keeps it the market in favor of the employers.

Well here is the deal... He isnt wrong. But here is the problem with both him and you,,, yes you....
People like you never ask "How did people survive in the past on less?" When Henry Ford opened his *non union* factory over 100 years ago he was paying his workers something like 5 dollars a day. And if you reverse the math on that with inflation and other things... that translates to over 2200 dollars a week (my rounded guess comparing the other costs of goods).

You idiots never question why things have gotten more expensive and you always go after the wrong target.
>pic is old and silver is down but you get the idea

So first of all you need to protest the Fed and the almost infinite regulations pushing up costs more than an idiot like Trump.

Second of all Trump cares about Trump. He has some vague ideas on what to do when the dollar finally dies even if its in a weird half ass way. But he understands we wont be able to do anything unless we start building again and become a manufacturing economy over the consumer economy we are now.

I dont like Trump but ill tell you this... if Bernie of Hillary win. ITs over for the republic. And your vote will be partly to blame.

That's a true statement though. Surprise surprise, companies are out for profits, not for the common american. This though

>This guy ACTUALLY WANTS you, me, and everyone else in the country to work for 65 cents an hour so we can attract manufacturing jobs back from China and other developing countries.

is a retarded strawman. He actually wants to penalize companies that do outsource jobs from America. He never said anything about making americans work slave labor.
>>
>>55508408
but wages didnt even inflate that much anon, what really killed the car industry was allowing companies to build all their shit overseas in sweatshops for retardedly low cost, selling the products at full price here, and then pocketing all the profit instead of either circulating it back into the economy or creating jobs with it.

>>55507553
He was referring to minimum wage, dumbfuck, and he's right.

Do you know why China is getting all the manufacturing jobs? Low-paid damn near slave labor.
Do you know why minimum wage increases are being fought? Because the people who want it aren't manufacturing cell phones, they're flipping burgers.

Flipping burgers was never meant to be a career. Any job that can be done by automation is a job on a potential chopping block, and demanding wage increases for a job that has NO REAL VALUE TO SOCIETY AND IS EASILY REPLACEABLE, is effectively low-paid workers signing their own pink-slip.

He's just stating an obvious but uncomfortable fact:
In this day and age, it's better to have A JOB, than no job. And if we raise minimum wage, there will be no jobs for a very large bracket of the population.

It's better to go after inflation and the root causes of it (debt spending for socialist programs) than to raise the minimum wage, because at least doing that would increase the value of the dollars earned. Raising the minimum wage without trying to head off debt spending is just throwing gasoline on a forest fire.

>not understanding how economic protection works

Lower, simpler, enforceable tax rates will be more effective than unenforced, deduction filled 35% tax rates that no one pays.

Keeping out illegal labor, increasing the cost of foreign labor will raise US standards.

Everything these foreign producers make is shipped back to the US anyway.

You increase the cost of shipping, and reduce the cost of taxes to the point where moving crap back and forth to and from America isn't as profitable as just making the shit here.

Firstly, liberals in congress can just refuse to do anything he comes at them with, but even if the neocons come in with a majority, then the liberal states can just create their own legislation to thwart the federal government, and who is to stop them? Rule of law? Give me a break.
Feinstein, Warren, and Leahy are going to dance around the White House on an elephant waving a big huge middle fingers. Oh, you think he will just arrest them, or use some executive force to bury the Democratic Party? That would be a really cute trick.

He will stump himself eventually, don't worry.
And he is starting to stump himself even more now that he decided to go soft on other candidates. All he has going for himself from the start was being this entertaining big mouth spouting a lot of nonsense. People enjoy that, and the dumb side of Murica loves it.
But by getting comfortable in the first position in the polls he thinks he can just tone it down and keep the current boat speed until nomination day. But he is wrong because he can't compete with other candidates on political grounds. He is going to be eaten alive, and this started to show on the last debate. Most of the time he looked like this big fat old stiff ignorant douche that had no idea what he was talking about, and was trying to appear relevant on the issues by speaking loud and repeating his buzzwords three times in a row.
Trump was having success on the polls by being this huge ironical candidate, but as he tries to be less ironical and more of a serious contender, we will realize how silly and weak his positions are and that he has no chance whatsoever to get the nomination.
You can't just bully, scream, insult and spout big words with no weight, into being a candidate for presidency. It's the begging of the end, just pay attention to it.

What the fuck are you daft?

Real world example provided on the left. You see typically in an instance where a state is so divided that the participants in power can no longer agree on principles, there is a stalemate, and no one can get anything done. This is a very costly time, not only in exacting an efficient body of government, but for the prestige of the leaders.
In some cases throughout history, the participants in power will literally divide themselves into a separate body of government, and govern themselves free from the authority of their rival branch.
It happens, truly, it's not a mythological concept that I just dragged out of my ass. In fact it is happening all over the world, you could even find examples of it on CNN, although I wouldn't value their example of news, it's very accessible.
People fight and die over what they believe in and tear each other apart. It gets real, I know, hard to bare.
Very very difficult times for everyone.

Trump intends to increase import tax and decrease business tax so it's more expensive to pay cheap workers and import than it is to pay more expensive workers and manufacture in the United States.

Okay that's wrong. A good conscript could be made out of anybody.

The point still stands that civil war is not a myth, and I'm shocked that you can't grasp that. It's like... you made it through second grade while daydreaming about what color underwear your crush was wearing two seats away from you while the teacher went on 50 minute lectures about the 1860s and 70s.

I bet you're still doing that whenever anons on /pol/ post about civil unrest occurring all over the world. You're daydreaming about fucking while Ukraine is abscessing all of Eastern Europe, and the migration crisis is bringing the rest of Europe to a screeching halt that will surely end in many countries the same way the Serbian migration conflict did.

You fucking nerf herder.

Illegals cost us $54.5b/yr in welfare, $13.3b/yr in incarceration, and ~$20b/yr in remittance. That doesn't include the costs of lost taxes and insurance payments or lowered wages due to undercutting the value of labor by not paying into the system. The most liberal estimates for deportation include creating an entirely new agency and logistic line, would cost ~$20b/yr.

Democracy is all about horrible people trying to get into power, and voters trying to keep them out.

Batshit crazy partisan politics are how the horrible people get into power.

The only way out of this is for the voters to wake up and recognize it for what it is.

Just don't vote for horrible people, ever. There's no such thing as "voting against" someone. It's not really a two-party system. The rest of the voters aren't all crazy idiots who actually want the horrible person they're voting for. They just feel trapped in the idea of choosing between horrible people and somewhat more concerned with the horrible person you think is somewhat less bad.

Try to get together and vote in somebody who's not horrible for once.

High labor costs cause unemployment. Unemployment destroys states for good. It's rising costs and shrinking revenue that feeds into itself.

Thing is, lowering labor costs doesn't mean you instantly go to a sub $1 a day economy. The existing market, education and other factors mean wages are still going to be quite high. Just not as high as present. Low enough that everyone is employable and no lower than that.

Sure, the cost of living must go down to make lower wages palatable. That's also a good thing. No one benefits from salty rents. Everyone should be able to save up and gather wealth, even if they're lowly low paid labourers.
>>
>>55525144
>I want America to be white, Anglo-Germanic again.

Why do you think you need to elect a horrible idiot, to get someone who agrees with you on a few points of policy? Don't you think that, somewhere in the USA, there's a smart, reasonable, honest person who thinks that there should only be lawful immigration, and illegal immigrants should be deported?

Canada just failed at this badly. We didn't get any worthwhile options on the ballot. It's not too late to get things right in the USA.
