So lets admit Trump will make America great again but how in the hell did this guy get such a sporadic surge of support from the start?
Trump ran for president 2 other times in the past and failed miserably. How did this time change?
I think his controversial comments about Mexicans had a lot to do with it. He got a ton of attention and even though a lot of that attention was negative, it made people aware of him
>>55500346
This time he actually ponied up some dough and bought enough support
Same way Terminator ended up governing California.
He never ran before only considered it. His surge of support is because the right been getting their asses kicked politically and are tired of their incompetent politicians.
>>55500346
>How did this time change?
Same reason why the AfD is surging in the polls despite doing rather badly in the elections before - the problem of illegals is becoming more and more severe and the establishment is refusing to acknowledge it.
>>55500346
>Trump ran 2x before
>3x gets surge
>3x a charm
timeless maxim confirmed
>>55500346
People suddenly realized they're a decade away from becoming just another Latin country.
Trump never ran before, he's considered it but never went for it before now.
>>55500346
He has an IQ over 150, had enough money so that he does not have to appease or rely on other backers, and says all the shit everyone else wanted to say but was too afraid to because he is too powerful to fall.
>>55500940
This. That issue was pretty much silenced for a decade or more. Then one day a presidential candidate grabs a live mic and says what everyone has been thinking. It's a "look, the emperor's naked!" moment. Instant surge.
People realized the greatness of eminent domain laws.
>>55500346
Lack of appealing opposing candidates.
>>55500346
Americans (real ones) are getting fed up and we can only take a bite of that shit sandwich so many times before we say enough is enough.
Remove illegals, give the jobs back to ACTUAL americans. I'm voting Trump all the way.
>>55500346
Shills trying to understand the meta now?
>>55500346
The normies started to realize that all of the candidates before him were owned by the Jews.
>>55500346
He's a celebrity.
if Kim Kardashian was running she'd have got about the same support.
will trump get rid of social justice warriors?
>>55501294
One can dream...
One thing i have always wondered.
Why does he hair like that?
Many of us are just done with career politicians. They're all liars and none of them give a single fuck about the United States or its people. And we keep getting fooled election after election. Many are taking a stand in this election, and Trump seems to be the more competent of the outsider candidates, so Trump it is.
Trump walked into a perfect storm that allowed him to take the reigns of a narrative no other politician dare touch lest they be called RAYCISS! People like a leader, and no one else is trying to lead.
>>55501356
Could Trump actually become the next president what are his chances?
>>55500346
Because things have gotten worse and he's refined his message.
He hits on 3 main targets usually: illegal immigration, where the problem has become much bigger, coupled with Europe kindly showing what happens when you don't secure borders. People have been constantly ignored and shamed for being against illegal immigration, the left has completely dominated the conversation and anyone against it has been left very frustrated and thus him opening with an attack on it guaranteed quick attention and support.
Political correctness where the left has gone full-on insane and openly so, so much that refusing to bake a cake is now the highest form of bigotry and will get you shamed and destroyed nationally. Calling someone a 'hard worker' is now racist, if you even suggest something a black person said wasn't correct you are literally the KKK, and so on. Everyone is tired of these people. Trump calling them out instead of some milquetoast "well, we have to be respectful, I respect their opinion" wins him votes easily.
And the media, the majority of which is now openly shilling for leftist politics, happily spreading shit uncriticially about how violent thugs are probably peaceful saints despite all evidence saying otherwise. And giving national attention to what should only be a local new story so they can push a narrative of evil whitey killing poor blacky. Again, Trump keeps hitting them hard, harder still than most GOP candidates usually do, even while they give him free advertising by constantly airing him.
Add in his being an outsider at a time when the GOP establishment has never been more hated because they ignore these issues or even support them.
So basically, because things weren't as bad last time, this time he knows exactly who to hit, and hitting those targets wins you instant support because people are so fucking tired of it all and are glad to see someone actually saying it without some political lukewarm bullshit to go along with it.
>>55500346
>how in the hell did this guy get such a sporadic surge of support from the start?
he saved a ton of money from the start by being on television for years, anybody who watched his television show was already talking about him so he has a big advantage from that

Britbong summarized our politics better than I could.
I'd like to add that Trump is lucky as hell that literally days after he announced his campaign and was being excoriated in the media for his "racist" remarks about illegal immigration, there was a high profile murder of Kate Steinle in SF by an illegal immigrant and his poll numbers shot up after that -- but he's continued to ride that wave and develop a very serious, substantive platform that's transformed him not only into a viable candidate but the undisputed GOP frontrunner.
Honestly, I expect Trump to tone down his rhetoric in the near future now that he's in the lead just so he can appeal to a very broad base on Americans, but when you read his books and listen to his speeches you know deep down how the man feels about illegal immigrants. Donald Trump is the only man who will give us deportations and strict border control, and with the US facing an demographic crisis where whites are soon to be a minority, Trump is our last hope.

>Many of us are just done with career politicians but we can't vote anyway. We're all liars and none of us give a single fuck about the United States or its people or anything beyond our bedrooms. And we keep getting fooled election after election because we're too young to vote and have no personal stake in anything. Many are taking a fap in this election, and Trump seems to be the more competent of the pseudocandidates, so Trump it is. It isn't like we can vote anyway.

>Thinking voting for Trump won't literally be the highlight of a /pol/ack's life
Nothing will keep me out of the voting booth next November.

>Nothing will keep me out of the voting booth next November.
Me either
1. Poor, stupid white people are threatened by the increase in Mexicans.
2. Poor, stupid white people hate Obama. Trump is the anti-Obama
3. Paid shills, astroturfing, and bribes
4. The world is headed for dark times. This is unavoidable. If the ship is going to sink, we may as well get one last good laugh in.
>>55502321
You're projecting an awful lot. Trump hasn't touched on a fraction of the things you're ranting about.
>>55500346
>Trump ran for president 2 other times in the past and failed miserably.
How has no one called you out on this bullshit. This board is dumb
>>55503579
Also, this. Trump says a few things about illegal immigrants, puts forth an easily understood concept like "build wall", and the ignorant masses project all the rest of their ill informed racism onto Trump
Because everyone hates spics.
We are going to send back the beaners!
Donald Trump has never ran for president before this, you're just stupid.

Came just to post this. Trump is running for the first time you dumb fucks.
