If this were true, why didn't all European countries push for mass immigration to a greater extent before this crisis? And what is even meant with "net gain"? Is it a net gain for the country on the whole, ie the GDP rises? Does the GDP per capita rise? Does the individual purchasing power of each person rise, or does the average just rise?
What about other concerns, like social cohesion? Will these newcomers be welcomed into society overall, or will they form ghettos and bring toxic ideas that go against our modern values? Will crime rates rise? Is there going to be a rise in racially motivated attacks against the native population?
