In an interview with a spokesperson from the Swedish center for immigration, he was very clear to say the word ''TEMPORARY'', because they don't want to make people think they would be closing the border. That would be racist as fuck.
The controls are supposed to be controls for 10 days only, but he also said that even though it is temporary, they would probably have to keep the controls for a longer period to have any effect. That means they will most likely be prolonged to weeks or maybe even months.
There is however an odd twist to all of this. It is not completely as good as it sounds.
The border controls will force people who were originally heading for Norway or Finland, to register in Sweden and seek asylum here. In effect, this might even increase the number of ''refugees'' applying for asylum here.

These border controls are supposed to come into effect in an hour, but the police themselves have said that they won't be able to check on everyone and who can blame them, trains and ferries arrive in Malmö and Helsingborg every 20 minutes.
