The whole Calvinistic pre-destination thing is so odd to me. The thought that Christians can be comfortable in the thought that God predestined some to be tares/goats and some to be wheat/sheep is such an odd thing. I think it makes far more sense to think that God gave man free will and to either have salvation or not. An interesting point brought up to me one time is that Tares don't show up until the time of harvest; this gives the impression that you don't really know (maybe not even God) who is going to be a tare. I think that is why God doesn't order the angels to harvest until right at harvest time because they may burn up the wrong ones. For all we know, a man that lived a very sinful life could end up being a wheat at the end and the man thought of as being devout is actually a tare. A good example of this possibility is with Paul. The idea is that no sin is too great and it doesn't matter how long one sins either just as the thief on the cross was forgiven right before death. Or the parable of the son coming back to the father after partying it up. Even Judas could have been forgiven, his pride just made it impossible for him.

When I read the Quran, I did feel that the Quran was written by Satan and that is what I thought as a believer at the time. I don't think anything is written by the supernatural these days but I really do understand the Christian when they feel these scripture are demonic. It makes sense as a believer.
