well, here in america we tend to send out shit into a water reclamation facility. very few places still dump untreated sewage into water supplies, unless you're in the northeast.

Especially since I live in NJ, one of the most polluted (and regulated) states. Our regulations go far beyond NPDES 30/30 standards.
Halifax used to dump all city waste in the harbour up to a few years ago.
Now that was the Atlantic Ocean, so it probably degraded fairly well.

lel, you do know that everyone including brown baby factories moved to Alberta because they were paid 100K to drive trucks around right? High-school diploma not required. How many jobs did you lose last week, 35K was it?
Taxes aren't the devil and if you had even 1% in sales taxes, you wouldn't be diving head first into a multi-billion dollar yearly deficit while you wait for oil to pick up. The irony here being that Quebec clawed itself out of the hole to a balanced budget for the first time in ages and is projecting growth in 2016.
Alberta has no money, you opted to squander it and live in the moment instead of heavily investing in infrastructure and diversifying the economy. There's a reason you threw the provincial conservatives under the bus for the fucking NDP. We can only hope you learned from your mistakes when and if oil ever becomes profitable again.
