HAHAHAHAHA this is exactly what you enabling faggots deserve. I was invited to interview as part of their BBS program and ended up leaving more disillusioned than you could possibly imagine.
We went out to eat the first night there and I ended up sitting near some Indian kids and some tumblerina types. I chatted with the Indian kids a bit about the (at the time) recent elections they had and how their prime minister was trying to encourage educational attainment etc. Maybe the kids at Yale will be cool and intelligent I thought!
WRONG. I turned to talk with the other students and literally over the course of the couple of hours we were there I was told about privilege and women inequality etc etc at least a dozen times. At least a dozen times by these white girls that had gone to the north east's most prestigious boarding schools their whole lives and wanted for nothing; meanwhile I'm just a public school boy from the south. I ended up going elsewhere because my experiences both there and at Northwestern were absolutely atrocious; it was like living in a satire the way these people think and act.
I think it's projection. They recognize their own literal privilege (being very rich and well connected) and project their feelings of inadequacy and worry that they didn't earn it onto others. The white man is their great scapegoat.

I'm tipsy so I'll clarify; especially since the programs are so different than what our Eurobros know of. When you apply to research intensive Ph.D programs in the USA (biomedical, physics, etc) you oftentimes apply to the program and not an individual lab. In the case of biomedical research since it encompasses so many related fields they've combined numerous programs into one big coordinated one. They get a bunch of applicants and then invite people whose stats/experience they like to interview and if you fit in well you have a good chance of being invited to attend.
I did not fit in at Yale. Fuck that place.
