if someone wants into the country it should be like getting a gun in canada
first you have to do some courses to make sure that you're able to function properly in this society (knowing the local language and know a trade)

Let's talk about what socialism actually is.
Now the first thing that comes to your mind when anyone mentions communism is the USSR. There is no denying it, but lets talk about what economy the USSR actually had, and what current 'socialist' economies around the world have. So it's common knowledge that the economy that the USSR had was planned, i.e. the state controlled the economy, the markets, etc.
This state-owned economy will obviously lead to economic failures and short comings, and one of the greatest critics of this was the Austrian School. 'The economic calculation problem,' as they put it.
The command economy cannot calculate prices, and regularly runs into this calculation problem. The USSR came into contact with this several times, and this leads to short famines and stagnation.
What the Austrian School failed to realize was the actual definition of socialism, the collective ownership of the means of production, not state-ownership. When the workers themselves reconnect themselves back from their labor, and own their own factories, without intervention from the state, or state ownership.
The 'socialist states' of the 20th century were the failures in this economic respect, due to state-ownership and far too much government, not actual socialism itself, funny enough.
