I'm a vet and I recommend not supporting the current year military.
There is literally no reason to thank vets unless they do something nice for you. The government should be the ones to take care of their soldiers, not hand them off to people that might care more.

Yup, AF here. BMT was easy enough when I went through. The shock of the first few days is mostly a given but looking back I realized it was just a lot of folding laundry, sitting in a classroom, marching practice, eating, and miscellaneous shit that anyone can do, but with the added yelling (ooooh big scary TI wants you to think he's actually mad because your uniform has a loose thread) Gotta be easier for you now, I heard they actually set limits on how many push-ups they can make you do. I remember the 30-45 minutes of morning PT wasn't shit compared to punishment PT.
