I've been thinking for a while now, and I started to consider moving to South America.
Regardless of the internet being the eternal tome of knowledge and dank memes that it is, I want to hear some first hand experiences from over there.

What would be a decent country to move to and why?
What's the normal price of a flat in the aforementioned location?
How are the people there?
>>
Fuck off we're full
>>
>>55440667
Why would you want to leave White Romania for a Shitskin country?
>>
Don't come to Peru there's nothing to do over here, Chile is nice, Argentina is nice.
But you are just a poor romanian so don't bother
>>
>>55440667
>What would be a decent country to move to and why?
Chile, Argentina, Uruguay in general aspects
But you can find god cities in any country
>What's the normal price of a flat in the aforementioned location?
Use real state sites to get an idea

There are good and shit people everywhere

You can't just move to a new country like it's nothing. You'll need to marry a local or get a student/work visa to stay there for more than 3 months. With that being said, Chile is the most developed country on the country. I lived in Bolivia for three months and had loads of fun. It's very cheap, but also very poor

The socialism over there is far from the traditional term we're all used to from what my research tells me.

Nobody told me so far what are average prices over there, and google results don't help me too much.

I've thought about Bolivia, Chile or Argentina so far.. Brazil doesn't seem to be in a particularly good spot right now, so I'd avoid it if possible.

Chile or Argentina however really seem like good locations both for business and for pleasure.

Argentina's immigration policy is a joke.

I experienced this first-hand with my wife just overstaying her tourist visa over there.
Basically, to extend your visa time for 3 more months, you must pay 400 pesos.
But, the girl at the counter told us that you can overstay all you want and, when you decide to leave, you must pay a fine. Of 400 pesos.
>>
>>55442493
Getting a place to live is really easy in South America, it's relativily empty. But getting a job is really hard, worse if you don't speak the local strange spanish variant.

desu you should wait a few years before thinking of moving here, we're not in a good place right now economically speaking and we're in the process of removing gommies from the premises so there's a chance you'll get caught in the crossfire.

After 3~5 years though you should be good to go.
>>
>>55443060
Is that doable?
Starting your own company I mean. Over here it's a real hassle because of bureaucracy and that was pretty much the one defining thing that stopped me from ever starting one.

What's the average salary over there?
>>

Thanks for the link that's useful - If i decide on Argentina, I'll have a drink for you :)
>>
>>55443069
Argentina is a big country, so it depends on which city are you planning on living in.

I'd say Buenos Aires has the best nightlife, but starts late, around 11pm and goes until 7AM or more. if you know the right places you can keep partying until noon.
>>
>>55443204
Not rich, but I do better than the average eastern europoor.
I've only visited Venezuela a few years back and needless to say it's far from paradise, but a couple of friends of mine moved to Argentina and they praise it like it's heaven on earth, and that really made me think seriously about making this move.

Since we have US dollars running through our economy veins we've had hard to compete against our closest neighbors (Colombia and Perú). So our goverment has fucked us with tons of taxes, I've heard these taxes disencourage foreign investments but not sure.

>>
>>55443336
Sounds reasonable (for an employer);
Considering you can make a start-up with 5-6 pretty skilled people - I bet you can have a running cost of roughly 10k USD/month and still have a functional and profitable business.

It's the bureaucracy I fear.

You actually can. Most of South America is easy as fuck to get a permanent resident permit.
Way one:
Invest starting from 5k-30k USD in a local bank account, provide a background check and two photos, pay a bit of money, wait 2-6 weeks collect your permit. Works even if you're in the country on a tourist visa.
Way two:
Start any kind of company in your home country, go to the embassy of the SA country, say you want to open a dependency in the country, provide proof of income a background check and two passport size photos, wait about 14 days, collect your visa, travel over to the country, register the company even if you don't use it.
Works also with a friends company and you go there as a "business developer"

International pressure, the worsening state of the people, etc.
the upcoming parlimentary elections are so one sided with the opposition that the goverment won't be able to turn it to their side enough, if they fraud, the people will revolt, and if not, things will get thrown onto them enough that they will decide to just give it up and escape to spain for assylum or something.

Proof that the fall of the goverment is comming is that politicians (including Manuel Rosales, a pretty important figure for the opposition) are pretty much returning to the country and martying themselves so that they are the first in like to become governors and mayors, the upcoming president after this goverment is also pretty based, and he will proably be able to turn things around from the shitty situation we are at currently.

Gonna reply before reading the whole thread.

Well, I live in the capital and it’s not that bad here, pretty fine. The weather is awesome, if you like heat. Never seen anything below 14°C here, and we get 30°C+ everyday. There are very few niggers, mostly whites and in-betweens. I think you could get a nice flat for around 600.000 BRL (around 150.000 USD) although in other cities they are much cheaper. Rent for one of those is probably around 2.000–3.000 BRL.

I suggest more the states of Minas Gerais, Santa Catarina, Paraná and Rio Grande do Sul. They have less nuggets and in-betweens, mostly whites of German ancestry, and the weather is not more like that of Europe. Small old towns in Minas Gerais are enchanting.

DON’T go to: any of the Northern and Northeastern states, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro or any state in the center that isn’t the capital.
