I eat meat because it's healthy for me to do so. I mainly eat vegetables, but a piece of meat is good for me.
The idea of animals growing up just to be slaughtered kind of sucks, especially since we could have the technology to get our protein without wholesale slaughter. I'd rather people have to kill their own meat to eat it.
But until then I'm going to eat a ham sandwich because much more animals are killed and left for dead in the process of getting wheat.
