This one is rather complicated, as there are many factors to it.
So I'm just gonna start picking them at random:
1.) Jewish people had always segregated themselves in society, formed "guilds" to keep non jews out of certain jobs the best they could and generally had a "higher than thou" attitude. There were clubs, bars and theaters that read "Gentiles stay out" (similar to signs for dogs).
2.) A jewish led communist revolution near the end of WWI may have very well caused the war to end like it did, instead of a somewhat reasonable ceasefire. It also ended the monarchy.
3.) Jewish people had firm grip on international banking and money supplies, a power they regularly abused. This caused great depressions and famines in germany year after year and the jews were seen at the center of it.
4.) Communism and all the inherent negativs traits that come with it were also seen as something that was led by the jews (see Communist Revolution in germany) and was usually referred to as "Bolshevism".
They may also have had leading roles in science, but their public image was atrocious. They knew it, but didn't really care until it was too late.
