Trump's main publicity flaw is he doesn't appeal enough to people who want details. It doesn't matter cus he's got what plants need.
Paul's main pr flaw is he's too smart and he doesn't seem to know it. He's appealing to higher orders that don't exist in the average moderate.
I'd rather Paul than Trump, but Trump is probably the best second choice. His approach to Russia is probably good (let that section of the world deal with their own shit for once), and his approach to China is great (fuck em).
