Can someone explain to me why the Russo-Japanese war of 1905 was fought?

And more importantly how in the world did Russia lose/ how is it considered a loss for Russia when Japan suffered more deaths?

Russians are shit at war. Their "success"in WW2 can be atrributed to throwing massive numbers to die. They dropped out of WW1. They lost the Crimean war on their own turf. They could not defeat Afghan tribesmen even with modern weaponry. Their only successful wars where against a weakened Ottoman empire and nomadic steppe people but only after getting their asses handed to them over several centuries .

Kike Banker Jacob Schiff funded the Japs. Then went out to fund the Kike Bolsheviks to overthrow the Tsar.

Allies lost more in WWII than Axis

Their success was more to do with being provided ridiculous amounts of materiel by the Allies, especially motor transport. As well as intelligence gained from ULTRA that was fed to them.

Their massive death rate mostly just let them claim shit when the war was over.

Should have kept going like Patton wanted and fucked up their commie shit instead of letting those countries wallow in despair for 40+ years.

Russia lost most of its Pacific fleet in one decisive battle. Instead of transferring ships from the Baltic, Black, or White Seas, they decided to cut their losses and conclude the war. This "one decisive victory wins the war" ideology took hold in the Japanese military and hence, the attack on Pearl Harbor. The Japanese tried to do to the Americans what they did to the Russians without realizing that a) they didn't destroy the carriers, and b) the US government was itching for entry into WWII anyway.

The Japanese military essentially said a collective "oh fuck, what did we just do?" when they realized the USA wasn't going to come to the table and let go of their oil embargo just because they took out half the Pacific Fleet. Even worse, now the Japanese had to deal with a second front against a far more powerful nation than China.

Easily. Pic related explains multiple examples of how awful they fight.

One example from a long history of Russian attrition.

The same way the Axis suffered 8,000,000 military deaths, and 12,000,000 overall, but still lost to the Allies, who had 16,000,000 military deaths and 61,000,000 dead overall.

Or the way the Union lost 360,000 in the Civil War, but still won against a Confederacy that had 260,000 deaths.

Anglo-Japanese treaty

The British made the Russian voyage to Tsushima incredibly grueling by refusing use of coaling stations and the Suez canal. They also provided frequent information on the Russian fleet's location to the Japanese.

The Japanese had the distinct advantage of not being led by Nicholas II. Also the Japanese military at the time was effectively a modern army that fought with a medieval mindset, there are even accounts of Japanese officers removing their uniforms, donning samurai armor, and launching frontal attacks on Russian positions, swords drawn.

Technology plays a huge role in the impracticality of Japan's strategy in wwii. In 1905 the logistical difficulties of waging large scale war on the other side of the world gave Japan an advantage. If Japan had taken the Philippines in 1915 instead of 1941 it would have been much more difficult for America to bring the hurt to the Western Pacific.
