Nah, the meat on the apaloosa cats taste great. It really just depends on how you handle them. A Coubion is stewed for a long time, though, which probably has a lot of bearing on why the meat tastes... it's pretty crazy just how much you can get off of the head alone, though. Bratwurst cooked in beer, veggies, a little chicken bullion added to beer. Tyme, garlic, and black pepper sprinkled on brats as they cook. Kraut cooked separately with some black pepper in a pan just heated up. Honestly it's not that hard to make a decent meal and it's fun. I love the look on my man's face when he comes home to some good cooking...
