Why do people pay for drinking water when tap water is almost free?

I buy bottled water at Aldi for like $2-$3 for 24 16 fl oz bottles or something so I really don't see much of an issue with it.

Tap water taste like shit, I avoid it at all cost. Most bottled water taste like shit too. I mainly drink Ozarka because it taste like what I expect water to taste like.
I will occasionally buy bottled water just for the bottle, which I will then reuse until it becomes too decrepit.

What? It's definitely true. I have a well and my tap water is delicious. When I visit my grandma in the city whose water comes from a municipal treatment plant, her water tastes like copper and socks. I can't drink it without gagging.
The bottled water tastes better (yes, water can vary in taste)
$3-$5 for a week of bottled water is no major expense to me.
Is there anything more Blue-Pilled than paying for plastic, id est: bottled water?
Shit is $1.29 per 1,000 gallons here. Imagine the cost of an eight-ounce glass.
Sometimes when you're out and about it's the only option if you want cold water.
Otherwise the tap water in my city is top notch so I don't buy water unless it's critical.
