I was born in 1968. Growing up in the 70s and early 80s was bliss.
My kids were born in the late 90s - 96 and 99. There are more older folk on this board than you think.
I got my first job in 86 when I was 18. I washed dishes in a restaurant when I was twelve for £8 per night before that.
£8 was major coin back then. I also got well fed by the restaurant owners.
I'm approaching 50 now, (48th birthday in January), and I'm fit. I can race my kids up the mountainside where we live and they can't keep pace. pic
My wife died in 2012. So single dad now. I have a wonderful gf.
Life is hard, but sweet.
