The German Lutwaffe completely wrecked the polish Armies freedom of maneuver and supply lines. Much of that Army was also light infantry compared to the mobile armies of the Germans. No major power in Europe wanted to ally with Poland because they were unreliable. Their Parliament never functioned, particularly in the later commonwealth period.
Poland-Lithuania was not conquered so much as sold piece by piece by its own Aristocracy. Come to think of it, the US probably had alot it could learn from Poland's experiment in legislative republicanism.
