Walt Disney was a really based man. I am an undergrad urban planner and I was excited to learn about Walt Disney’s idea for EPCOT. He has designed several theme parks himself but he wanted to bring it a notch up by constructing a whole new city that embeds traditional American values of a nuclear family combined with good infrastructure for a healthy city. I would really recommend watching this youtube video. It’s a shame that he died before he managed to gather the funds to begin construction, it never transcended beyond a prototype.

This guy was a real left-wing ageing hippy type and he started out his talk saying Disney was a conservative, a right-winger, could be a real bastard, etc., all those meant as insults of course.
